When is Bush going to admit that Saddam played him for a fool?
Obviously, Saddam knew he was going to have his country invaded by a power that was much greater than he could hope to defeat in a conventional war. And he had plenty of time to plan and get ready for it. So he stashed tonnes of weapons all over the place, set up cells of soldiers who would blend with the civilians, and gave each one access to one or more caches of weaponry.

Then he pretended to resist the invasion - didn't do such a good job there because it was WAY too easy. That should have worried the Pentagon, but instead they were surprised and relatively confident.

Now look at what's going on. Before Bush invaded Iraq did we have beheaded civilians on TV every other week? Did we have explosions every day with loss of soldiers, mercenaries, and peacekeeping personnel?

Now we have daily losses of soldiers, crippling attacks on the oil pipelines, beheadings, lawlessness, everything is being sabotaged and the occupying forces are making no headway at all, and are in fact retreating (Falluja, for example).

So Saddam's plan is working, the Pentagon was snookered and Bush along with his blood, sorry I mean oil-thirsty cabal were all played like the chumps they are.

When will they admit Saddam won and set about getting out of the quagmire?

1. Have you ever known Bush to admit anything?
At all? About anything?

To admit even a mistake or a bad decision, without blaming everyone he possibly can first?

3. I've been thinking this from the very beginning.
It just didn't seem right - they way we marched in and "ran 'em off" so easily. I suspect it is all part of the larger plan too.

6. From the looks of it, he was expecting to hide until the "snake" left

And resume power. Looks like that part of the plan is the only part that didn't work out for him. Mind you, it didn't work out for Bush either because he's defending himself, so don't be surprised if he's suicided.

9. Iraq had virtually no army
Much of it was destroyed in Gulf War 1, and there hasn't been much rebuilding that army during the years of UN/US sanctions against Iraq. Definately no planes and no scuds, not very many tanks -old ones at that.
Like everyone else, the PNAC-ers and the Pentagon knew that, and it is probably one of the reasons why Iraq was invaded. It's also the reason why the invasion was so easy.

11. Don't give SH so much credit
I think you're giving Saddam a little too much credit... I mean the guy wound-up in a rat-hole and had his sons killed. Doesn't sound like very good planning to me.
