Are there any British subscribers who can give me an unbiased idea
of what the British public is feeling right now about what is happening in Iraq? Secondarily what is the feeling of the electorate regarding Blair's chance for re-election? I read the on-line British newspapers but I can't really get a feeling for how the British public really thinks about what is happening.

1. It's hard to tell,
Re: Iraq - lots of "we told you so", but our chaps are generally not killing/getting killed so much as your guys. So on the whole we're not quite so riled.

Re: Tony - has lost a lot of voters over the war (and other domestic policies). If he goes, Labour will have no trouble getting reelected, if he doesn't well the Tories are useless & no-one thinks the Lib-Dems are a serious government party. So even if he doesn't go he might well win by default.

To tell the truth Rupert Murdoch probably has more to do with who wins than what Tony does.

3. You can try the British forum

I believe they are not as focused on Iraq as the US is because their news gives them so much more of what is happening in the world. On your other point, the British forum has a thread where they are talking about Blair's chances.
