Howard Dean in Dubai, clear and outspoken with the truth.
Edited on Thu Sep-23-04 12:54 PM by madfloridian
He debated John Sununu there this week. Sounds powerful.

http://www.gulfnews.com/Articles/Nation2.asp?ArticleID=132969
"Moral leadership of US 'undermined by the war on Iraq"

SNIP..."Dean said the United States has lost credibility because it is not being "an honest broker" towards Palestinians. "We have lost the confidence of one of the two sides. I don't support what this president has done."

That was virtually echoed by Sununu, who said his views differed from official Republican policy.
"We all know what the solution is. It's minus or plus three per cent and the Geneva Accord." He said US leaders should short cut the negotiation process, which was "inviting mischief." Both said Europe and the Arab world had to do more to resolve the conflict...."

SNIP..."He (Dean)said the war on Iraq had "undermined America's moral leadership" and said the war has made the situation worse, not better, listing possible scenarios once US troops leave: "A possible civil war, a fundamentalist theocratic state or a state that harbours terrorists." Dean said the war had strained relationships between allies, telling the audience: "We need your help to rebuild relations with moderate, pragmatic Muslim countries."

3. Oh, man. I couldn't be in the same room as John Sununu
That man (Dean) has real guts, doesn't he? He always, always inspires me.

Thanks for this, as always. :hi:

6. Jerald, I have posted it until I drove people crazy. Not one word in US.
Not a word in our media at all. I should have sent you a private message at your blog. I did not think of doing that. Once I posted it I said attention, Jerald.

I am so sorry I did not let you know personally.

How are things?

8. Jerald, he was also in Rome this month, again, no coverage at all.
It is just totally ignored both here and elsewhere. Many of us have decided that striving for peace is not as much fun as being warlike. Thus they ignore it.

5. Oh Dear, I Can Hear The Rethugs Screaming Now.
"Howard Dean is a traitor for saying these things on foreign soil. He is giving aid and comfort to the terrists." :eyes: Get ready for it.

7. Of course they will. They said it about him last year.
We can do nothing right anyway, so we might as well tell the truth.

If we said the sky was blue, the right wing would yell at us.
