Kerry Sticker
I played golf the other day with my brother who is a rich repug. We don't talk politics because he is my twin Brother. But we do know were we each stand on this election. Any I drive a spyder convertible, my mid life crisis toy. But I drive it year round net able to keep it in the garage all winter. Anyway I drive in go to the bag drop the kid working for min. wage takes my clubs from the car. I give him a fiver. I used to do what he does at the same country club and I know most of these guys don't tip. So I Park my car with the Veteran for Kerry sticker, and change my shoes. As i am walking to club house I look back and realize my car parked right in the middle of big expensive cars with * crash cart stickers . I turned and smiled broadly as walked on. While getting the golf cart I noticed a couple looking at my car and shaking their heads, not started to laugh uncontrollably. What a hoot!

1. HAHAHA
I love my Veteran for Kerry sticker. I think all Kerry stickers are good, but WTF is someone going to say to you when you're a veteran? If they give you shit, you respond with "and where did you serve?" and watch them stammer about supporting the troops, Iraq is a "just" war, and their trick knee, and bad back and shit. Yeah, sure, I'll play that card when I need to.

By the way, welcome to DU. I see you have a Nam ribbon. Thanks for your service. Mine was strictly peacetime, but my repug co-workers didn't serve at all, so I like to give them shit as often as possible.

2. I love walking around the 'rich' grocery store wearing
my Kerry pin. Lots of thin lipped, quick inhale looks. Fun.

5. Thanks..and a question
That was a funny story. And thanks for your service to our country.
Being a veteran, can you answer this?

When Kerry spoke to the National Guard it was polite applause, but not wildly enthusiastic like our pretend president. Why do veterans accept him and his bullshit and not see he dosen't give a crap about them?
Don't they care * sent them to Iraq without the proper armor or number of troops?!
Don't they realize that all of these lives lost NEVER had to happen if he let the inspectors finish thier job?

I am bewildered! If you have some rational explanation I would love to hear it. Thanks.

Military service people usually vote Repug. They were angry at Clinton saying he cut our defense and unfortunately they think the same way about Kerry without knowing the truth. What they need educated on is to look at the defense bill and see what is attached to it. Usually Congress will make deals I'll vote for your bill if you put my pet project in it. That is a problem because as we know most congressman ask never read the Patriot act. They just passed it. Fearing if they didn't they would be labeled Traitors. My son is a 16 year veteran in the Army and he thinks * is doing the right thing even though he is cutting their benny's, He is crapping all over them and they won't even believe it. Sad. And my son is going back ti Iraq for the second time. Has only been home 6 months. Not fair.
