4. Well it hit Asheville, NC pretty bad and they are known as liberal...but
I don't have their voting statistics for 2000. Maybe it's a myth that they are liberal.

5. Nice picture, but...
the eye of Charley, with winds of 105mph, went right through Orange and Osceola counties...I know because my house was right in the eye.

7. "An unmistakable message from God"...?
Attributing natural disasters to the political meddlings of a supreme being is highly offensive, whether one professes belief or not in a higher power.

What did the poor of Haiti do to deserve 2,000 people lost to floods? What did the poor of northwest Africa do to deserve the current locust plague? In many instances - forest fires, droughts, famine - it is the hand of man that creates the condition for disaster, not the finger of God.

If an omnipotent being existed that bothered to meddle in political affairs, D.C. would be leveled.

11. sorry if I missed the joke -
The OP sounded dead serious, and I've heard others say the same thing.

About the swingaround....yeah, if anything could make me believe in a meddling god, that would be it. ;)

12. Weeelllllllllldon't flame me but the Bible Bush uses says
God shall have his way in the whirlwind. There sure have been a lot of category 3 and 4 and 5 whirlwinds, especially after more innocents in another country die by American's decision to preimpetivley strike. Maybe there is a little truth in the joke.

9. You might be on to something if a hurricane hits Kennebunkport.
Or the movie set in Crawford taken away in a tornado.
