I'm worried of how Pat Robertson sees this.
The bible says "Thou shall not kill". But if Pat Robertson believes in this, why did he support a president whose only purpose is to dominate the world, even if it means killing
Someone tell me!

3. Shhhhhh! You are not supposed to say that about Pat Robertson...
...and the Emperor Bush who was appointed by God. That is not the image that the 700Club audience needs to be exposed to.

4. Murder not killing. OOOPS! We're doing that, as well.

I believe the commandment refers more properly to murder, not all killing. Moot point, we seem to be covering the bases.

edited for clarity: It was garbled. :D

5. Have you not heard, this is a mis-translation of the bible!
I shit you not - that is their reasoning.

The latest meme being put forth by the talibornagains is that the "Thou shalt not kill" commandment is a mis-translation of the original Hebrew (or whatever the language was) - it should actually be written as "Thou shall not murder". This way, they can be against abortion but still be for the death penalty - if the rules don't suit you, re-write them on the fly, I guess.

What they don't understand by trying to push this is that they're saying the bible has a mistake in it - a MISTAKE!

I'm waiting to get this pushed on me in an argument so I can ask, "Oh, really - well, what else in there is mis-translated?"

6. And I thought that had been around for quite a while.

Go figure. It does make some sense, though, there is all that random killing in the bible.

Actually, I thought at first this thread was about the hurricanes, Ivan, Jeanne, hitting Florida, the lower South, and Texas.
