Political thievery: Bush signs stolen
"On the scale of political dirty tricks, it may not amount to much. But stealing is stealing.

Someone, in the dark of night, purloined about 25 Bush-Cheney yard signs Tuesday night, apparently trying to steal some thunder from President Bush's re-election campaign.

Jim Lyon, a volunteer for the Skagit County Republican Party, said he believed the thieves got every yard sign in La Conner and several in Anacortes — about 25 signs total." http://skagitvalleyherald.com/I wonder if they want some cheese with their WHINE!? (Local newspaper)

3. Boo Hoo
We have had hundreds of Kerry signs stolen in Michigan. And, in a shocking coincidence, most of them were stolen in widely scattered locations, all on the same night.

8. Don't sink to their level.
Let the spawn of satan do their stuff, and let us uphold real civility.

9. Oh, I know.
I don't do it, nor will I.

I should probably have mentioned that one of the abovementioned friends had her car (w/ a Kerry bumper sticker) keyed, so she was bitter.

Nevertheless, I would try to refrain from bothering with someone else's private property. Class is a good thing, despite this administration's example.

6. Luckily, there aren't any Bush signs in my area
to cringe at but I have to admit when I see a car in a parking lot with a Bush/Cheney sticker I find it so friggen offensive... I mean I wouldn't actually rip it off or damage their property but just the fact that someone supports them and PUTS A STICKER ON SOMETHING THEY OWN TO SAY SO just gives me the creeps.

11. My neighbor's experience
A very nice elderly couple live next door to me. They had a large Kerry/Edwards sign in their yard. Somebody used a paintball gun on it, so they replaced it with a new one. The next night, somebody smeared animal (we think) feces all over the front of it.

I'm not sure which is worse-stealing a sign or defacing one.
