Despotism - 1946 film has relevance today
The Enclyclopedia Brittanica in 1946 produced this short film, about 10 minutes long, but full of important information for our world today.

If you can, stream this film to see if anything strikes you about our current environment, such as concentration of power or the media.

It's like the Repukes used this as a training film, but exactly opposite of its intent.

1. Thumbs up
We're sliding down all four scales...toward despotism. What a great find. I guess as Americans with memories of the Nazis die off or get senile, a new group of fascists can take their place. Huh, wish I had thought of it first, but Cheney & friends beat me to it.

2. Someone posted this about a week or so ago, and it is chilling
So I am kicking this.

And, now, if you showed this in schools, conservatives would be in a fit, calling it communist, left wing fanatic propaganda.

3. Kick. P.S. ca. 3 mins. into it, did you notice The Pledge w/o "Under
God" being recited? Because the film was made before Congress inserted the defensive words in 1952 as a bulwark against godless communism. Those students didn't look anti-American to me . . .
