6. Yeah, Kerry/Gephart 2004, relax.
I think that Viacom is firmly in our corner.

Plus Rather's ratings have jumped, so why would they get rid of him?

17. im sure he was in on the scam
he was just saying what he was told. this was a scam to obscure the fact that dubya was AWOL, and destroyed all records of his service. so even if the document was real, there is no way to check it with the military records. dan rather was just playing along with the karl rove plan.

heres a conspiracy >
Roger Stone, who became associated with Watergate ‘dirty tricks’ while working for Nixon, refused to deny that he was the source of CBS documents
http://www.timnews.com/#WORLDWIDE COUPS

Watergate 2004 - Roger Stone, a GOP operative linked to scandals in the Nixon administration, and who led the mob on polling places to prevent a Florida recount, is rumored to have been the original source for CBS 60 minutes memos regarding President Bush’s National Guard service .. Raw Story
Watergate friend of Karl Rove

4. They are running freeper campaigns
And like the hypocrites they are, they are using a fake e-mail spammer (rathergate.com) to complain to all CBS affiliates about fake memos and Rather.

See this thread and send out email in support of Rather:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=860483&mesg_id=860483

Also let CBS know how hypocritical freepers are by using rathergate.com

5. I seriously doubt ...

Dan Rather is not someone who would be "fired." He might resign, and it might be understood he was pushed to resign, but he would not be fired.

18. perhaps he should spread some Niger yella cake on himself...
and duck under the radar easily with that one.

I am so disgusted beyond the bar of disgust I had just even a short time ago. The times they are a changin', so fast, so hard and right before our eyes. The horror of witnessing a trauma in slo mo, and you just can't be quick enough to save....

11. It would be true
except for the preponderance of evidence that says that the memos were dead on in content. From the State politician who got him into the Guard, the lack of any witness, to the gaps in the records, to the 86 year old lady who confirmed the sentiments of the memos, to the lame excuse that they were destroyed... It's all too obvious what really happened in "Rathergate". It's really AWOLgate.

That's the folly of all this smoke the freepers are blowing. These things are far too predictably organized anymore to be believable anymore.

Here we come around to election time again and now more than ever people are feeling its time for a change.

19. We shouldn't post anything from the NYPost.
It is a freeper tabloid owned by Murdoch. It is not a "real" paper or news source.
