3. Newspaper opinion pages

My local (small town) paper has an anonymous call in/email in section for reader comments (approximately 75 words or less). I've begun sending in three or four a week and have gotten three (out of about ten) published. If each DU'er were able to find one paper that had this and began sending in carefully crafted, highly persuasive (no highly charged rhetoric) messages we could get a lot (albeit in small bites) of information and analysis out before the general public.

'hey- I heard that george bush got an underage girl pregnant and his family made her get an abortion so it wouldn't hurt their careers"

that's not exactly the kinda thing that you can just post in a newspaper site.
however - i do like that for other stuff. mind telling what your paper is?
i'd like to take a look to get an idea of how it looks.

I do want to Johnny Appleseed though. Hard to do it smoothly.

Yes, this is NOT a disinformation type thing but more countering the RW talking points/making a progressive argument--in a written sound bite (can you have a non-oral sound bite?--LOL) format. You wouldn't want to overwhelm the system. More of an each one reach one approach.
