I voted today!

I got my absentee ballot in the mail today, cracked that puppy open and immediately started to observe the election for my state (TN) and I was disgusted with my choices (other than Kerry and Tidwell). Tidwell was running against a white supremist that ran on the platform of Eugenics! This is insanely pathetic, that my state, of all , would build onto the stereotype of being racist and close minded to appoint a open hater to the GOP position.

any way, I voted Democrat through and through....It seemed logical, plus I have studied this election extensively. I made the right choices.

2. Opinion is mixed about the wisdom of voting absentee.
Greg Palast (who should know) warns against it.

...Let me tell you something else to look for in this election.

The number of absentee ballots is increasing by 500%.

There's going to be something like 15 million absentee ballots in America.

It's going to be wholesale theft...

LO: What can they do with absentee ballots that they can't do with regular ballots?

GP: One, throw them away.

You get a receipt when you register to vote, but not when you actually vote by absentee ballot.

They won't send you a note saying we've accepted your ballot, it's rare...

I would be interested in hearing DUers' opinions about this.
