Sign the Petition to Remove Rush Limbaugh From Armed Forces Radio!
At taxpayer expense, on INMARSAT, Shortwave, and AM and FM stations around the world, the most vicious hatred, lies, and extremist Right-Wing partisan message of Rush Limbaugh is being heard not only by our own troops, but by all within the global reach of the Armed Forces Network, from our apprehensive allies to our outright enemies. Please sign the petition TODAY to have Rush Limbaugh removed from Armed Forces Network!

1. Fuck that..
Give Air America the same amount of time and let the soldiers decide.. We shouldn't try to restrict free speech, we should encourage both sides being able to communicate, whch is only fair in a true democracy!

2. except that
AFRN is not just heard by Americans. Last week (or the week before) Lush yelled that we should flatten Fallujah and Najaf. He called the atrocities at Abu Ghraib "the same as fraternity initiations."
The Armed Forces are having a terrible problem with rape. I can't help but believe his anti-women sentiments aren't helpful.

4. I agree..
If his tone has been vulgar, or inciteful he should be reprimanded by the Armed Forces themselves.. After all these are supposed to be men and women that represent all Americans, but I would suggest getting AAR on and suggesting that the military make sure that Rush act as not only a radio personality, but also as a representative of America if he wishes to continue to broadcast to them.. In all honesty if ou got AAR on the contrast would be so overwhelming that those in other countries would realize that Rush is just a representative of our nutcase fringe..

5. I'll sign, again
but there's not much hope of getting the idiot off AFN. I received a reply months ago from AFN stating that since the sleaze was the "most popular" radio host in America that they will continue to have him (and he gives his "show" to them gratis). No doubt AA would do it for free as well, but AFN hasn't asked them or it's not popular enough for them to use.x(
