Need help with info on forged Niger Documents

Had a discussion with a Republican neighbor earlier this evening. Almost like talking to the wall. Has the White House ever admitted that the Niger documents mentioned in the State of the Union Address were forged. If so, I'd appreciate any article links to share with my neighbor. Thanks.

The second link to the google search is good. I definitely missed that. Bush never said it, but some in the WH did. Good catch.

2. Don't think WH has specifically admitted that the documents...

... had been forged, so you probably won't find any definitive links. There was a statement at one time by Bush, rather offhand, that perhaps the line in the State of the Union address shouldn't have been there.

Portions of which may be online in his New Yorker columns. He details how the IAEA people, using Google, discovered in just hours that the documents were not just forgeries, but very poor ones at that. When they questioned the Bush administration, along the lines of "are you fucking stupid, or what?" they were met with silence. The Bushies knew ahead of time the documents were bogus. They used them anyway.
