Has anyone else noticed this ? That when Americans die in Fallujah, the
Pentagon releases the information in the following manner: Died in Al Anbar Province. Could it be because we lost a lot of blood and men a few months back taking control of Fallujah and then stupidly handing over control to a local warlord, who then proceeded to make it a safe haven for terrorists and Anti-American elements ? Even during the initial mission, Fallujah proved to be a bloody battle for American soldiers. Just something to keep in mind next time you read about died in Al Anbar province...that soldier more than likely died in Fallujah and I personally hold the Pentagon and the Bush Administration responsible for twice failing to keep that area under American control after our soldiers bled to take control of it twice before. Third times the charm I guess. Pray for our troops. Support them by dumping Dubya.

1. There was a scary article a week or so at Salon
About how the administration was joy-sticking the fallujah battles. Letting us commit to a stupid objective, but then wimping out and pulling us back instead of letting the soldiers finish the job. Kind of infuriating. You are right about how we need to support the troops; Bush and his cronies must go.

6. I'm sorry
I was in a hurry. God forbid you should actually do some of your own work.

More and more i'm convinced most people hear at DU are terminally lazy. How many posts do we need starting "I need some help with an answer, and this is easier than google."

Here's the link --> http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/09/16/fallujah/index.html

Hope that satisfies you.

5. Correction to that ""Letting us commit..."
The (mal)Administration ordered the attack, against military advice, then wimped out and ordered a pullback after troops were engaged and committed.

Precisely the sort of unthinking bad leadership the Repugs always accuse Democrats of.

3. I don't think we ever had control of Fallujah....
...the town was initially surrounded but the "insurgents" were surprisingly successful at holding off the U. S. forces.

4. I don't think we have ever had control of Iraq. The administration just
says we do. And they are becoming more blatant by the day. We get nothing but lies from them and the lies are getting bigger. We are doomed if this cabal remains in office.
