1. Only if it meant...
... that I could watch the effects of extreme spite and envy welling up in Scalia because of it. :)

7. What does the WH have to do with Supreme Court?
Oh, and Clarence Thomas is a vile despicable moron of a human being who I would not help if he was bleeding to death. He is such an ass he wouldn't want help from a compasionate person anyway. I hate his guts.

9. The president appoints Supreme Court justices,
is what the White House has to do with the Supreme Court. Which is yet another reason to unload El Shrubbo.

10. Yeah, but that doesn't explain the Chief Justice question
What do they have to do with who is picked to be Chief Justice?

13. The President also appoints the Chief Justice,
with the consent of the Senate, when a vacancy occurs. So if Rehnquist retires soon (which could be likely), whoever is president gets to pick the Chief.

8. Thomas is Scalia's puppet.
Every opinion Scalia writes, Thomas concurs with, like, "Me, too. What Tony said." And he never asks questions during oral argument. He's probably the least qualified of the bunch, but the Bushies would be happy to use him as another token, trying to convince everybody that they really don't hate all people who aren't white guys who went to prep school. But Scalia, who is a truly arrogant prick, would probably pop an artery if he had to sign opinions AFTER the signature of "Thomas, C.J." It would almost serve him right, except that Thomas is such a loser. There's a good book about him, "Strange Justice."

11. Oh, don't I know it - what a fool Thomas is - a real jack ass.
How can he live a life as a foolish puppet like that? There is so much to hate about Thomas - I almost hate him more than Dumbya.

15. Clarence Thomas
hates women. He may like to harass them, but he hates women. Any legislation that has women's issues--he is always on the side against women. He would be a terrible justice.

16. Clarence Thomas was the only dissenter ...
... in the case in which the Court held that the Executive Branch does not have the authority to rescind constitutional rights by declaring citizens "enemy combatants." To mean, an opinion so contrary to our Constitution should be grounds for impeachment.

20. Thomas and Scalia will be sacrifices.
Bush's goal will be to get a radical on the court. He knows that these two guys, or at least the first one he nominates, will be toast. He will bank on the media growing tired of filibusters. If they don't grow tired of filibusters, it raises his clout in other areas.

The third pick will be a very young, very conservative judge from either a state supreme court or a district court. That will be your next chief justice if Bush wins re-election.
