How do I sign up to vote absentee from Ohio?

I'm registered in a county that is over 2 hours away and I've just realized I won't be able to make it home and vote.

1. Sign up in the county you are in

you have till Oct. 4th. A friend of mine at school asked me this the other day and re registered for Montgomery county. I found the phone number and everything of the local poll so he could call to find out where he was supposed to go.

3. That's something that needs to be worked on in Ohio and

elsewhere......you should be able to vote absentee just because you want to...and not have to sign some sworn statement that you will be out of your county on election day. The Repubs will never go for it for the same reason they opposed motor voter - will enable more people to vote....
