Fuck it !
I changed my mind.

I want Bush to win.

I don't think the American people should be let off the hook this easy.

Look at the support for the Iraq war BEFORE it started...The American people wanted this, and they got it. They should NOT be let off the hook by getting Kerry elected, they should reap what they sow, they need to realize that there are re-actions to their actions.

Most believe that Saddam was involved in the 9-11 attack...Why do they believe this ? ...because they are stupid. It's all very simple, they are stupid fucking idiots...I don't want to sound anti-American...But I must speak the truth...Americans for the most part are stupid, I see it all around me

Now we see these idiots change their mind about the war, like it is a movie they can switch off...They act as if they were fooled into supporting war...Fuck that bullshit.

Bush was citing IAEA documents that he claimed said Saddam was 6 months away from a nuke...The only problem was that there was no such document, the IAEA said so...Bush was submitting forged documents to the UN so he could play war...The inspectors came up empty.

The gig was up before it even started, and the people STILL supported it, they put ME in danger...and they can fucking die for all I care, they deserve Bush....Fuck them.

What makes you think that Kerry getting elected will get Americans off the hook?

40. I tend to agree with you. They would get a Pres. in Kerry that they don't
deserve and Kerry's life would be much more miserable than he deserves. The best thing that ever happened to Al Gore was to have the election stolen from him. He comes out a victim and not a villin.

48. as many as 40thousand people died!
AlGore didn't fight for victory cuz of CLASS loyalty (or something) and innocent people have paid....it matters not that a few bad men (the taliban, saddam) were crushed too. the cia is and was capable of removing saddam from power long long ago; they used him to advance their private class interests, which algore dare not stand against...
the mass media has been a loose cannon fukking up electoral politics for many years; the 'public interest' is defined by the public, using all the info available, but the media has been pushing a cheap drug that has hooked vast numbers of goofy goofs, and algore and the dems know it, esp after the mediawhores made bill clinton a punchline to a depraved nazipoo joke...(despite clinton being the best repuke prez anyone could want!)

1. After peak oil hits (and especially after peak natural gas!), the sitting
president WILL get the blame.

And the repukes would take great delight in slaughtering Kerry with something he's done nothing to cause. A scapegoat.

But * and his repuke friends have maintained and exacerbated the problem ever since Reagan called alternative energy 'obsolete' in 1982. x(

That pack o' *predators done seized your Amurikkkan gubmint don't mean NOBODY ON THIS GLOBE no good. Take that to your local financial institution.

And after you do that, think about how people who remember or are experiencing bombs being dropped on their heads KNOW that it SUCKS. I see America as the invulnerable, arrogant adolescent. Y'all carry on in Buttfuck, Idaho about them Ay-rab turrists may be tryin' to 'tack you with absolutely NO IDEA of what it means to have ordnance exploding in your vicinity NIGHTLY. (Erraaa... which is what your military is doing in Iraq this very moment. For WHAT, :freak: when this Libra weighs risk/benefit for our common good, remains open to discussion).

and that it's gonna get much much worse before it gets better in this country.

Much the way Nazi germany got much much worse before it got better.

Images of jetfighters dive-bombing Washington D.C., in a world war against the United States come to mind.

Hope it's not my clairvoyance kicking in.

15. Chuckles at the illiterate Freeper
self-loathing near-do-well losers.

Freepers are at their funniest when they try to sound "sophisticated," and say something like "near-do-well" because they saw it on PBS once.

Since they don't actually read, it's likely they could hardly understand that it's "ne'er-do-well," and I am quite certain the provenance of the quote in question is well beyond their limited scope of comprehension. :)

My prediction, if the boy king wins, in 10 years you will not be able to find anyone to admit voting GOP. Just like you couldn't find anyone who supported the Nazi's in Germany '46.

I wish no one ill will, so I hope you pull it out of your ass before the hard landing. You may have a better chance of surviving what is to come.

...I wrote a LTTE at the time, because the details of the polling showed that *only with a new UN resoultion* did a majority of Americans favor war, and the mass media was misreporting the polls (sound familiar?).

Only when the troops went in did a rally-round-the-flag effect kick in.

I am hoping he can...

1. restore ties with our most traditional allies
2. Get the deficit in order and work towards a surplus
3. Create jobs
4. Slow outsourcing
5. Stop the coming draft

The American people don't deserve this....They won't learn a thing if this happens, they will completly forget what just happened

Things need to get alot worse before they will wake up and ask questions...

The American people just decided to go to war based on lies...they WILL reap what they sow, the seeds are already planted...I doubt Kerry would be able to stop what already is coming

I will not shed a tear when the next attack happens

42. not to mention that Bush WASN'T elected
I also can't agree with the original post in that the situation in Iraq is HIGHLY unlikely to change under Kerry - other nations are not likely to suddenly want to expose their citizens to the shit-fight there just to support US geo-political goals all because the face of those goals is Kerry.

Occasionally it's easy to slip into the "they deserve it" mode - especially from outside the US when all you see presented in the media is pro-Bush "Amurica love it or leave it" freaks but you just have to remember Katherine Harris and thousands of disenfranchised voters

45. Because the lies really haven't been exposed
Haven't you been paying attention? When the mainstream media doesn't carry the story and the companies that own the stations refuse to air the programs that try, then what's the average working schmoe supposed to do? Not everybody has the luxury of an education, a computer and time to research this topic on their own. Some people are busy raising families, working multiple jobs and trying to eke out some palatable form of existence in the few moments they get to themselves.

I'm sorry, but it's not as black and white as you are making it. The fact that you would want people to suffer as retribution for voting for a party that you despise doesn't factor in all of the people who didn't vote for that party, weren't allowed to vote or for various reasons, just didn't know better. You are basically saying you would punish all the innocents, those who haven't even been born yet, because you are angry.

I did not support the illegal US Occupation of Iraq!

Even the Bush Cult don't deserve what another term of the Neo Fascists will bring. In the words of an ancient prophet: "Forgive them, Lord, for they know not what they do."

As a Green Party member I am supporting J. Kerry and J. Edwards but after this election I will not support the Dem Party. I believe that all members of the Dem Party that are not moderates should join the Green Party.

We, who believe in "Representative Republic" must fight, however any of us can to bring America to a true ""Representative Republic". We cannnot be complacent and allow the Neo Fascists, anti-Christ Right Wing and the Corporations to rule our country.

Perhaps you need to take a total break from politics and current events in general. There are too many people in the U.S. and the world who don't deserve to suffer under 4 more years of Bush.

49. Only 35% believe Saddam was involved in 9/11
and that is the same 35% that would say they believed anything the Bush administration told them whether they believed it or not because at heart they are fascist. That's not 35% of the American people, it's 35% of the meanest conservatives that register to vote.

They aren't stupid. It's hubris, arrogance, with a big dash of mean spiritedness thrown in. That's why they like Bush, they like is arrogant style, his fuck you attitude. It's the group in high school that thought they were better than everyone else. The ass kissers and the bullies.

Many, too many Americans are bigots. They don't like the 'other' whatever or whoever the other is. They feel bad about themselves, worthless without their 'I hate your guts' demeanor.

I believe the country is suffering from a collective mental/emotional illness. It's a very phobic society right now and becoming more and more phobic by the day. Not fearful necessarily but phobic.

Too many of us are willing to take the easy road mentally and emotionally. It's easier to hate than it is to love or even be indifferent. It takes work. It takes mental and emotional work to understand what is different. We're lazy people when it comes to the mind work. We want are emotions to be the compass we haven't evolved emotionally in this country.

We don't deserve it and allowing our country to fall into the hands of the meanest, laziest, most reactionary among us would be to be just like them

We shouldn't hate them we should understand them. There are definitely more of us than there is of the people I'm talking about. The spiteful bitter selfish mean people only make up a small percentage of us. They happen to be the loudest but that is part of the personality they have cultivated. If everyone that could vote did we would see the end of the republican control for a very long time.

It's frustrating and you're expressing that frustration but you're not serious, not really. I feel like you do right now pretty often but I try and remember that people have the potential to change. They can change and pretty often they do by following the example of something better. Fear and anger and berating them only embitters them even more. There is a better way and that is to lead by example.
