My Predictions About The First Debate...

There will only be one debate... and even then it will be an unfinished and incomplete debate.

Here's what I think might happen. Whenever it's clear that Bush* is floundering and that he's not sticking to the script or is making factual errors... at that point, a band of Rove-picked disruptors will begin to chant pro-Kerry slogans or some other action that will distract from Bush*'s failings.

If they are successful, such efforts to disrupt will make the Secret Service (and Bush*) too frightened to continue, and Bush* will walk away (or be escorted away) from the lectern.

End of debate. Bush saves face, public forgets about Bush performance, media attention focuses on how Kerry made to look bad because of "his" Rove-picked "supporters".

Next Bush's advisors determine that it's just too risky to have further debates and the remaining two are canceled due to security concerns.

But you're right - we should start figuring out what to say in response to something like this. Particularly figuring out how to respond to how Bush may respond. If he looks weak and frightened, we need to turn the tables and use it against him.
