5. a flag motif is there, does it really compare with one from a campaign ?
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 07:01 AM by T Bone
Can you refer us to a similar design from a campaign that you think it compares to? or are you just upset there is a flag motif watermark type of thing on it? as long as it is not a copy of something from the $hrubco* campaign, it does not seem like a big deal to me.

7. Put down the bong
and back away slowly. It is an American flag, nothing more, nothing less. I do not mean to offend you, but there is no conspiracy here.

8. The last line is the funniest ...

Most noticeably, of course, the bills now feature all the colors of an Easter egg.

Cheers

11. Ugly, ugly, ugly.

I'm so sick and tired of ugly, unimaginative currency.

We're barely one step above the old Soviet Ruble in ugliness.

Then again ... ugly Americans, ugly money. :)

13. Most anyone who handles a lot of fifties.....
....will be voting for smirk. Unless they're a bank teller or a casino worker. In which case if they're smart, they'll be on board with Kerry.

17. More wasting of our hard earned taxpayer money
I really have no clue as to why they redesigned the fifty, or for that matter, the rest of our money again and again.

I realize that they had to do a redesign eight years ago in order to put a cap on the forgery problem. But all that did was get the "mom and pop" forgers out of the business, the ones who were using the high end color copiers to print money.

But these constant redesigns are not going to deter the pros. All it will cause them to do is retool their production line. Anybody with high end scanners, computers, graphic software, printers and presses can forge this money. All they're doing is providing the illusion that our money is good, but not the reality. The amatuer are gone, but the pros are doing better than ever.

An interesting stat that I read awhile back is that it is estimated that ten percent of the money currently in circulation is fake. And that that figure is going to remain constant no matter what security designs the Treasury comes up with.

18. If they're gonna put a flag on it...
It would be nice to put the entire thing on it, rather than just a shred.
