1. About the same pissed off level, but much more defeated...
..and hopeless. I'm still just as pissed. But back then, and as recently as 2003 I still had the hope that my anger would be vindicated when the country saw what the right's policies did to them and to the country itself and subsequently took their rage to the streets and to the voting booth.

Now at least all anecdotal evidence points to that not even being close to the case so I have no hope that things will turn around.

I know it's negative to think that way, and I'm trying to counteract it. But it's hard.

3. More pissed off
than I've ever been in my life and I have been since the selection of this criminal. I am sick of feeling angry about it and every single thing that has been done by him and his so called administration. I have never had a more miserable and worrisome 4 years in my life and seriously do not know how I am going to get through this. Everyone I know is pissed and depressed. The problem is some do not seem to know why they are so miserable.

11. More pissed off than I've ever been in my whole life.
After Bush was installed in the 2000 election, I was hurting, but I came to accept it. "How much harm could he really do?" I said to myself. He lost the popular vote, right? The electorate has hamstrung his authority, right? He has an obligation to govern from the center, right?

Yeah. Right.

Bush talked down the economy to justify a tax cut for the wealthy. Then he unilaterally pulled us out of long-standing treaties with other nations (ABM, Kyoto), laying the groundwork for our current piss-poor diplomatic relations. He did everything he could to constrain a woman's right to choose, and started to rally support for the raping of our natural resources to line the pockets of his friends in the oil and mining industries.

And all of this happened BEFORE September 11th.

When 2002 rolled around and the march to war with Iraq began in earnest, I had finally had enough. This illegitimate motherfucker was being propped up by a lazy, cowardly media, and he was marching our nation right off a cliff. The belligerent, mindless minority in this nation would drag the rest of us (yes, the MAJORITY) kicking and screaming along for the horrible ride, lest we be branded "traitors," "America-haters," and "Saddam-lovers."

It was right about then that my anguish turned into outright rage. Interestingly, though, my ire didn't translate into support for Howard Dean. Kerry was always my choice for the Democratic nominee. Explain that one to me.

Maybe it's because I'm from Massachusetts.

-MR

23. More pissed off than I've ever been in my whole life
and that's 50 years. One reason, other than this disgusting administration we have running the country, is that I see the mainstream media not doing its job. There is no such thing as a "liberal media" anymore; wish to god that the Republican charge was true. Another reason is my frustration with the stupidity of many American voters. It's not for lack of information, but rather for lack of interest in finding out the truth that seems to make them so damn ignorant. So many still seem to view government as Daddy who, of course, would NEVER tell his children (American citizens) lies.

grrrrrrr

restoring justice in our maligned world.

And the national nightmare (of Bush in office, not what

...and frightened that I might actually have to flee my country and my home, because there will be no place in it for a L3 (liberal, libertarian, lesbian) such as myself.

The fact this race is even close -- or we're told it is anyway (I do not believe the polls showing Shrub way ahead, but suspect we're being primed for an election theft) -- is even more frightening.

43. less pissed off than I thought I would be
I had major concerns in 2001 that my life would be affected by this admin but now I'm just trying to find some real issues that have affected me and my family personally and am finding none.

I'm making 23% more at my job and have 5% more vacation plus I'm getting back 12% more on my tax returns. Other than being a staunch Dem and pissed that we are not in control I don't have any hard personal data to use against my life situation.

46. Ya know what?
My personal situation is wonderful, we are making a great living, and we are tons better off than we were in 2000.

But as an American, I'm ashamed. I'm ashamed that a man the majority of thinking, educated world despises is our "President".

I'm ashamed that someone is in charge of our military like Rumsfeld, disobyeing the Geneva convention, torturing men, women and children, and putting our soldiers in grave danger.

I want to live in an educated, tolerant society that doesn't live in denial and lie to itself. I want more for my children than the world of a bully and his propagnadist brothers bring to it.

I want truth and I want justice.

I care about other people, not just myself, and I know that here in Oregon many have gone without. I voted for taxes to take care of the schools. I give money to the food bank.

If this is not the America I believed in, I'm so pissed I want out.

And it is unfair that we have the money to do it, and others don't.
