"Highjacking Catastrophe" on LinkTV, starting Friday
You've heard about this film here on DU many times, so for those of you who are able to get LinkTV, here is the schedule and the descrption. I'm also including a couple of other films of interest in this notice, after "Highjacking Controversy".

Hijacking Catastrophe
Length: 01:00 Type of program: Documentary
Broadcast Times
Friday, October 1 11:30 PM
Saturday, October 2 5:30 AM
Saturday, October 2 11:30 AM
Saturday, October 2 5:30 PM

This film contends that a group of Bush Administration insiders used the trauma of the 9/11 terror attacks to transform American foreign policy and shows how the plan was sold to the American public. The documentary places the Bush Administration's justifications for war in Iraq within the larger context of a two-decade struggle by neoconservatives to dramatically increase military spending in the wake of the Cold War, and to expand American power globally by means of military force. The documentary argues that the Bush Administration has sold this controversial plan by deliberately manipulating intelligence, political imagery, and the fears of the American people after 9/11.

Narrated by Julian Bond, Hijacking Catastrophe features interviews with more than twenty prominent political observers, including Pentagon whistleblower Lt. Colonel Karen Kwiatkowski, who witnessed first-hand how the Bush Administration set up a sophisticated propaganda operation to link the anxieties generated by 9/11 to a pre-existing foreign policy agenda that included a preemptive war on Iraq. Joining Kwiatkowski in a wide-ranging, accessible, and ultimately empowering analysis of American foreign policy, media manipulation, and their global and domestic implications, are former Chief UN Weapons Inspector Scott Ritter, former Pentagon analyst Daniel Ellsberg, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Jody Williams, author Norman Mailer, MIT professor Noam Chomsky, Code Pink founder Medea Benjamin, defense policy analyst William Hartung, author Chalmers Johnson, and Army Special Forces Master Sergeant Stan Goff (Ret.).

Honor Betrayed
Length: 01:00 Type of program: Documentary
Broadcast Times
Tuesday, September 28 7:00 PM - 8
Wednesday, September 29 1:00 AM
Wednesday, September 29 7:00 AM
Wednesday, September 29 1:00 PM

An investigation into the pressures put on the American military by the Iraq War, an insufficient Pentagon budget, and the looming issue of a draft. The film weaves together commentary by several of America's most respected military experts with real life personal narratives from the veterans, widows, and members of the military communities that are most directly affected by the Bush Administration’s current foreign policy. "Honor Betrayed" challenges the widely held view that conservatives are better stewards of our national security than liberals.

War Spin
Length: 01:00 Type of program: Documentary
Broadcast Times
Tuesday, September 28 5:00 PM
Tuesday, September 28 11:00 PM
Wednesday, September 29 5:00 AM
Wednesday, September 29 5:00 PM

Saving Private Jessica: Fact or fiction? This film challenges the Pentagon's version of a story that boosted American morale during the Iraq War. Doctors reveal how Iraqi forces had left the hospital well before American special forces arrived with their Black Hawks and video crew.

Also explored are the roots of the controversial tactic of embedding cameras and reporters with military units and the impact of Hollywood blockbusters like Pearl Harbor and Black Hawk Down on the war coverage.

3. You're welcome -- help keep it kicked
I have an eye injury, and cannot spend time on the computer.

I wanted to give notice of this, so that others would know it's available.

So, please recruit some who can keep it kicked, or repost later.

Also, the other two documentaries I listed are well worth seeing, also.

Thanks for your help. I just physically can't do it right now.

8. That is a fabulous movie. Even better than F9/11...
It's much harder to discredit that movie than Moore's movie.

And the last five minutes fill me with incredible optimism for the future. The film moves from discussing the depressing reality of what's being done in our names to an incredible message of hope. Governments that rule through fear and suppression of dissent are doomed to fail. It's only a matter of time.
