US Media Fail To Report Bush Shoot Down Policy

Nothing much happened to Sunday’s Olympic Airlines flight 411 from Athens to New York according to the media in the US.



All we got was a bland report that a threat had been phoned in to the Greek newspaper Ethnos. That there was a bomb aboard the Airbus A340 aircraft carrying 293 mostly US passengers and 12 crew.



What the US media failed to report was that the Royal Air Force Tornado jets that had been scrambled to escort the Greek airliner to Stansted Airport, east of London, had orders to shoot it down if it headed towards central London.
