Bush had to launch a war on Iraq....
because once the inspectors had come to the conclusion (as all of them have and did before the invasion) that there were no WMD's, Bush would have looked like a complete idiot when that happened.

As it has turns out, he still looks like a complete idiot for having disregarded his own administrations warnings and disregarding the State Departments' "Future of Iraq Project" which outlined what needed to be done every step of the way (as far as restoring municipal services and security) after invasion.

Everything he touches turns to shit.

1. He rushed to war because he knew his justifications wouldn't stand up
He only got support for the war by fabricating the case against Saddam Hussein, so he rushed the invasion knowing that his basis for invading would fall apart once the U.N. inspectors had more time and the Iraqis continued to comply with actions such as destroying more long-range missiles. He was totally dishonest in getting us into the war and is still totally dishonest in defending his actions.

He thought that invading Iraq would give us greater power and influence in the Middle East, control over oil prices and result in a big boost to our economy and stock market earning him easy re-election as a bold leader with vision. What a crock of Bushit.

It will be a terrible shame if most of the American people can't grasp the arrogance and incompetence and allow him another term.

2. He looks like a complete idiot to US who know the emperor has stolen
everyone's clothes, and we are the only ones who can see everyone is naked. The media has done everything in their power to turn him into Eisenhower, MacCarthur, Churchill, and Lincoln in spite of his blunderous term in office. They have fed enough shit sandwiches to Americans for the past 4 years to feed every army on earth several times over. So the average Joe and Jane out there think Chimpy's farts smell like roses and that he shits bon-bons. Only a few know that in reality that he farts IN the rose garden and that he CHOKES on bonbons.

3. He HAD to create a war
The cold war "reason" was dying down, and soon enough, the american
public would demand a "peace dividend" and a cut in armed forces
payments. So, rather than betray the military industrial complex,
he re-invented the cold war as the "war on terror"... as the drugs
war, really has been a total failure, and a bit difficult to rely
on....

So his buds, suggested that the best way to destroy those dang
liberals and their feminist equality, was to turn the whole planet
in to a war zone. Then the free civilians would be stopped at
checkpoints, whilst the miltiary supply chains would be unfettered.

Then the taxes that we all pay, were doshed on to the military
and its agencies, so that we all get screwed, and nobody benefits.
... but that is the bush way. If you have not fucked over everyone,
then you're not much of a bush, are you?

4. Wars are good.
W is proud that he started two of them. Bet he wants to start a few more. Iran, Syria and N. Korea but even his Chickenshit Neo Fascists know better for now. After they retain the power look for more good wars.

5. ya know the problem with it all
is that these wars (iran, syria, NKorea), are all proxy wars with a
long-dead soviet union. Its as if Condi rice, has had her brain
frozen in time, and only now, dumping its sick cold war hatred on
to the "war scene".

I love war. I see these wars:

1. War on poverty
2. War on infectious diseases
3. War on bad governance
4. War on ignorance

Just the word "war" falls a bit short. Perhaps erradication is
better using the frame i'm using.... as war implies a potentially
non-winnable fight, whereas, i'm seeing a more decisive win than
a bush-flunkie would consider fair.
