Guess the party affiliation of this IL Supreme Court
candidate...

A conservative judge opposed to judicial activism
"As a judge, it is my responsibility to apply the law, not make the law. It is never appropriate to contort, twist or interpret the law to reach a desired result. I believe legislators should legislate and judges should judge."

A fair and balanced approach
"I believe a judge's first responsibility is to the fair an impartial administration of justice. As an attorney, I spent five years on the defense side and five years on the plaintiff's side handling major litigation. I have brought that kind of balanced experience in the law to my roles as a judge."

A supporter of medical malpractice insurance reform
"I have the privilege of serving on the Board of Governors of Shriners Hospital for Children in St. Louis. Prior to becoming a judge, I defended doctors and hospitals in medical malpractice cases. I have seen firsthand the damage done to our health care system by rising medical malpractice insurance rates. There's no question that legitimately injured people deserve fair and just compensation, but itís time for the legislature to take action to stop rising malpractice insurance rates and help keep our good doctors in Southern Illinois."

2. OH Mr Kleeb....you are perceptive young
padawan learner!

You are SO correct! This guy sounds like a pug but is in fact a Dem. It's Dems like this that cause Greens and others to say there is little difference between the parties and this guy is running for SUPREME COURT in IL!
