BBV - Houston to broadcast a discussion on PBS tonight 8:55 PM
If you're in Houston and want to get a friend or relative to at least THINK about electronic voting issues, suggest that they tune into Channel 8, PBS tonight.

Ernie Manouse is moderator. Panel includes the County Clerk's PR flack on one side, Rice Professor Dan Wallach (of the Hopkins report, the first independent examination of the Diebold software, July 2003) on the other.

1. Most or many don't trust BBV but feel that they can do little about it.

2. Techie? Sign up for Tech Watch.
Go to www.verifiedvoting.org
Go to the box on the right TECH WATCH
Over a thousand technically astute people have signed up to watch elections around the country, and watch for certain things.

Not a techie? Read up.

Join up with a group in your town. Maryland has one. Austin has one. Ohio has one. Lots more I'm sure.

Convince others -- the major media have done a feeble job of bringing this issue forward.

Harris County is the third largest county in the U.S., in the state with the second most electoral votes. Yet, even though Prof. Wallach is IN Harris County and is a national and even int'l expert, this is the first extensive coverage on TV the issue has gotten here. His first report was FIFTEEN months ago.

4. Can you give those of us not in TX a blow-by-blow?
I'm dying here....particularly interested in what Wallach is saying.

Has he mentioned the new whistleblower document publicized by http://www.blackboxvoting.com yet? The whistleblower was an election worker in Tarrant County, Texas after leaving Hart Intercivic.

Has Wallach mentioned it yet?

5. Wallach didn't know about it at the time of taping.
He knows now though. I just sent it to him.

6. Actually, he did, but.....
he didn't have any time to confirm it and follow up before.

I sent it to him this afternoon, too.

Unless, of course, this was taped days ago. For all I know it might have been.
