We should all register new voters, but there's a more important task!
Edited on Tue Sep-28-04 08:38 PM by napi21
Yesterday, I read that Pennsylvania has the HIGHEST voter registration of all the states! But only 52% actually voted in the 2000 election!!!!

I have no idea what it's like in the other 49 states, but if this is a clue, we need to do a lot more convincing people who are already registered to get the he** out thier door and to the polls on Nov. 2nd! This sounds almost more inportant than wearing out your shoe leather trying to find someone who isn't interested enough to have registered already!

I've not heard anyone disagree that most of the country is Dem, but the Pubs are more focused and determined.

We don't have a lot of time to change that, but 5 weeks is ENOUGH TIME!
I just found this link that shows % of registered voters that actually vote! What a SAD SAD picture!

2. The easiest part of a campaign...
is getting the vote out...that's my opinion after years of doing this. All you need is a phone and a car and a little persistence!

4. You're right about notifying on early voting!
I don't know how many states where you can do it, but you can in Ga. I'm planning on early voting because my hubby gets disgusted with long lines for anything. Can't really blame him for that either.

It worries me, if we CAN manage to get lots of people to vote this year, they could be turned off by having to wait in line for a long time and might give up!
