Scarborough...
Just gave Kerry some advice on how to win this...by holding Bush to being weak by letting UBL go in Tora Bora and by letting Falluja (sp) get taken over...

Kerry has already said that he would have kept the forces in Tora Bora and finished the job so maybe he'll hammer that home... Don't know if he's talked of Iraq missions...

I think Kerry will be extremely tough!!

pound bush on why he didn't get osama and then voila, out pops bin laden.

unlikely, i know, but still a scary thought.

2. Still no reason to duck the issue
I say he embrace it. Make Bush look like the indecisive weenie he is. Remember? the one who sat staring blankly at "My Pet Goat" while thousands died?

3. wouldn't matter...
The point is that Bush took his eye off the ball and diverted it to Iraq...over 1000 soldiers lives lost and the rest of the mess...that could have been avoided with the job finished...not to mention the other terrot attacks...Spain etc...

7. Yeah that's been working real well lately
Might as well stick to the story line and hope for the best.

9. It is two years too late now. AQ hasn't been sitting still since that
time. They have mutated and grown larger and stronger because of Bush's incompetence.

10. Kerry will have to be ready to answer the following:
"Osama is dead."

I'd bet the Bush people are prepared for that question. If they weren't, they are now. Joey made sure of that. He did that on purpose. He's a Republican. He can't be trusted.

11. I've been thinking about that too.....But if he coughs up Osama now....
...EVERYONE will find the close timing suspect.

I think the convention was their last window to trot him out and still look like heros of the free world.

From here to the election it will look TOO contrived.....I think.

4. His suggestions for Kerry....
were much more powerful and relevant, while at the same time tearing * a new a**hole. Very well done!

5. Would Ronald Reagan have let Osama bin Ladin excape Tora Bora?
That was a great line

6. Tora Bora is huge! That was a colossal error. That was the fight people
joined the military after 9/11 to fight and Bush blew it. Kerry needs to (and I'm sure he will) pound this point into the ground on Thursday.

What the hell is Bush's comeback going to be? There isn't a valid one at all.

8. Yes, Kerry needs to quote the commander (general?)...
... who said the military didn't want to go into Fallujah in the first place*, but that it was wrong to pull the military out before getting the job done. Kerry also needs to highlight the near-identical Bush response in Najaf: getting to a crisis, and then backing down and allowing the al Sadr insurgents to walk away to fight another day.

(Talk about sending mixed-signals to the military.)

* Paraphrasing, he described the Fallujah offensive as a knee-jerk reaction to the killing and abuse of the 4 US mercenaries.
