Kerry better not disappoint me on Thursday night.
I am going to watch the debate and I expect Kerry to come out swinging. He must not back down or do a Dukakis. I am getting nervous about Kerry's chances. He is still behind in the polls. All this talk about a post-convention "bounce" does not wash any longer. It has been weeks since then and Kerry must do a Dean (No. Not scream!) like surge in the next few weeks. He must start now. This coming debate is going to be a good time to go after Bush.

1. Well, the other day
when I saw Kerry, I told him directly, "Don't back down on him." He looked me in the eye, and said, "I won't."

true story, and I'm holding him to that.

7. You know why I believe this?
Because you said, "he looked me in the eye"

Sounds like John to me. And I've never met him.

14. I was very impressed with how he
handled 'working the ropeline.' Each person got a great, firm handshake (my daughter got the two-handed shake), and he actually listened and responded to people. My daughter handed him her (my) photo of Wes Clark with John Kerry (taken here in Madison the day Clark endorsed Kerry), and asked him to sign it, and he looked at it and said, "Hey, that's a nice shot." and then signed it. He said that despite the fact that Clark is actually the featured (& in focus) person in the picture ;).

I know it all sounds so trivial, but you could really tell that he cared what people had to say - he wasn't just racing his way through to his car.

Jeez, it will be a relief when he's our president! :)

3. Kerry is simply the better candidate. Not by a margin, but COMPLETELY
and that's gonna shine thru.

Gonna be alot of converts born during these debates.

10. I was just discussing this with a friend tonight
I am concerned for Kerry... he is a man of eloquence and intelligence. How can anybody debate a frothed mouthed redneck?

12. Kerry has the football now,
Bush can't beat him. If Kerry should blow it, it will be because he fumbled. There is one thing that worries me to no end about Kerry in the debates.

11. Don't worry.
The run-up to the debate has got expectations low for Kerry, which is quite a feat considering how great he is and what a whiny hate-monger he's running against.

Kerry will demolish that little shit. And it won't be pretty.

And as for the polls: I guess you've just seen the ones the media likes to report, i.e. the ones that show a bush lead. (The same ones with a faulty methodology) The good polls show a small bush lead, but it's shrinking. Look at Rasmussen's daily tracking poll. Bush's lead is down to 1.6%.

Kerry in a landslide.

13. I totally agree
it's time out for playing nice. The media is going to slam Kerry no matter which road he takes. He's got nothing to lose. We know the dirty trick shrubster and company are up to. He's gotta fight. This country is at stake. Report to duty LT. Kerry and kick some right wing butt!

16. "Do a Dukakis?" What did Dukakis do so wrong except to be honest
and steadfast on his position against the death penalty? You have bought the media "kool-aid." They painted is answer as something dire and alarming but it showed me he was a man of conviction. I would not change my position on the death penalty if anyone in my family were to be raped and murdered.
