Former governor Tony Knowles (D) of Alaska has increased his lead
Former governor Tony Knowles (D) has increased his lead over Lisa Murkowski (R) in the race for the Alaska Senate seat. Knowles is now ahead by 6%. Ms. Murkowski, as you may recall, was appointed to the Senate by her dad, the governor.
Republican family values at their finest.

2. Excellent
A critical pickup. Knowles could maintain that seat in an unlikely state for several terms.

If there are debates, I hope C-SPAN airs them.

3. Knowles is running smart
he's running a surprisngly liberal campaign, anti-Patriot Act, and anti-Corporate greed. He's conservative on Guns and wants to open ANWR, but hey, he's from Alaska.
