"Documents Reveal Gaps in Bush's Service as President"
This is the last paragraph:
"Our opponents have dredged up this kind of thing every time Bush has run for office," Bush campaign strategist Matthew Dowd said. "We've faced down widely reported, fully researched, carefully documented accounts of Bush's alcoholism, drug use, private-sector business failings, ignorance in matters of state, smug arrogance, and general self-serving lackadaisical behavior. So I'm hardly worried. An overwhelming mass of published information like this has never stopped Americans from voting for him before."

Oh, Onion, sometimes you're not so much satire...

1. great one
I wish I still had the link for the Onion where Bush got inaugerated. It was awesome and eerily accurate. Bush, in his speech, promised that our long national nightmare of peace & prosperity was finally over. He promised to get us into at least 1 war in the Middle East, run up the deficit with tax cuts for the rich & roll back environmental laws...

or something like that... but, it was incredible how it all really came true.

3. There was another article done by The Onion that discussed
bush's efforts to reduce the number of articles to the Bill of Rights - I believe to a "more manageable 6." I've tried to find it but it appears to be lost.

It was a good article and fairly close to the Patriot Act.
