I just don't get it, Part XVI
My company polled its managers on the election, asking them to rate Bush vs. Kerry on several issues (economy, terrorism, taxes, etc.). Chimpy came out ahead on most, but these results really surprised me:

Do you agree with the job Bush is going as president? 50% yes/50% no
Was the Iraq war worth fighting? 54% no
Who would you vote for if the election was today? 58% Bush/37% Kerry

How can someone not approve of the job a president is doing, and disagree with one of the most prominent actions of his presidency, and STILL WANT TO VOTE FOR HIM?!? (Insert mind-boggling sounds here.)

1. Why is your company polling its managers on the election?
Interesting - apparently the people you work with are not as smart as you :-) .

2. Better the Devil you know........
So, Kerry has to get the point across to these people. Whether these people will actually make an effort to find out what Kerry's about is doubtful. A lazy electorate is an invitation to dictatorship.

3. The power of Sovietized, Nazified propaganda
The ooze of Goebbels v2.0 is everywhere and nearly inescapable.

All things serve Der Fuhrer, it is now almost as bad as it was then, htough more subtle, less racist and (thankfully) less violent.

I sometimes can STILL feel it working on me, even though I am aware of it and defend against it.

It still works the same as it ever did, and THIS version, crafted by the Busheviks specifically to Destory America, not Germany, is eversomuchmore subtle and, like the early stages of Imperial Rome, is also built to massage the Kneeling Imperial Subjects of Amerika that they could NEVER bow before a Tyrant.

Which they (we) are doing, many in ignorance (which is what Goebbels v2.0 was designed for, to create Virtual Reality as Orwell laid out so many years ago)

7. All about cash.
Well if they are management especially management they are going to swing Bush simply because of cash especially if there spouse is upper level management and those couples tend to run in pairs.

So it all boils down to.. they dont particularly like Bush or think he is a good president but the tax refund was enough last year to buy {insert materialistic POS you don't need here}.

8. Some people hate Bush, but have resigned themselves to
"Kerry can't do any better".

I don't understand it, but that might explain it.

10. Let's be honest about the Kerry campaign
This is not an attempt to be negative, first of all, and I think Kerry has a good chance of pulling this off.

But I have talked to too many moderate Republicans, independents and even uninformed Democrats who think that Bush is a disaster but that Kerry is (take your pick) a "flip-flopper", lying about someting (not sure what) to do with Vietnam, an elitist rich guy, etc.

In other words, Rove has with evil genius defined Kerry in a way that makes even people who hate Bush feel they can't vote for the other guy. Part of this is also the corporate media's simply not reporting on Kerry's appearances every single day, presenting his plans and trying to DEFINE HIMSELF. But also, part of it was ineptness on the part of the Kerry campaign in letting the opposition define him and not coming out swinging.

Why didn't Kerry drill it in from right after the convention, not just that he wouldn't support the war if he had it to do over again, but that the Bush administration and its warare absolute catastrophes?
