because if he wins, only he and the Repukes can get the blame for what's coming.
Our country has never been is such a sorry state as we are now. Even during the depression, we had a balanced budget. Even during Viet-Nam, we didn't face the outsourcing of jobs and a terrible recession.
We never had deficits like this, or such a low standing in the world.
We were never so isolated from our allies, or so divided as a nation.
The oil crisis can only get worse, because China and India are now competing for that oil as their economies grow at our expense.
Iraq will explode after November. Bush is talking about January elections there. Who are the candidates, other than Allawi? Who will campaign, and how and where? Are you kidding. We have alerts here during our election, their's would be a terrible, bloody, joke.
Interest rates have to climb, it is inevitable. As our deficits and debt grows, and we must borrow at record rates to pay it, and the Repukes refuse to raise taxes , interest rates must climb. When they do, the stock market must fall, with higher rates and higher oil prices. Instability in the Middle East will grow, increasing still the cost of oil. This instability and cost increase will also have a negative effect on the economy in general, and Wall Street in particular.
The division which Karl Rove created and then exploited, will make it impossible to rally the country during crisis or command the trust necessary to enable leadership to pull us out.
As Americans lose jobs, and there is no money in the treasury to create government bail out programs, the downward spiral will be frightening. Other countries will be unable to sustain there growing economies, because the greatest consumer nation will be unable to buy. Companies will be going bankrupt, the Stock Market will crash, and those countries that face financial burdens will be calling in their US notes (China and Japan).
In the mean time, Iraq will be getting worse, and no nation will come to our aid, because of the arrogance of our leader, George Bush.
All this is not including the unknown, such as another terrorist attack on our homeland, or a series of natural disasters, which seem to be almost destined judging by recent events.
During these inevitable disasters, that can't be to staved off because of the horrible job that Bush&Co. have done, only a miracle will save us, and as Humphrey Bogart said in Casablanca "Right now, I think the world is fresh out of miracles".
If Bush wins, we could be facing the worst national crisis since 1929. Get ready, and God (if there is one) help us.
There may be no way out of the absolute mess that this Administration has created at home and abroad.
