I watched the same show earlier and felt that it was kissing, not kicking.

2. did you see the last 20 minutes?
There were a couple of callers with tough questions, and he followed up. He questioned the whole logic of Christian American superiority that these people spew

5. Sort of like the three blind men and the elephant, huh?
Some of the guests were making some pretty good sense, but when one brings up that tired idiocy, "what if three people decide they want to marry, or someone wants to marry his horse? " So many of the folks who purport to be spiritual leaders are, in point of fact, just looking for a forum to grind their own ignorant self-righteous BS. Especially egregious are the mormons whose faith required them to engage in multi-amory, but the great spirit of patriarchy forced them to give up their notions to attain statehood. Now they assume a superior, holier than thou attitude, that in my private judgement is simply sour grape orneryness.

Good to see the Dominionists on a major show. They have a huge agenda for Theocracy and it is still proceeding pretty much without a hitch.

I think it was very clear who, out of the group, was over-zealous. The attitude and agenda came through very clearly.

If you want to see some research on the Master plan try:

I have been trying to alert people about this clear and present threat to Democracy for a year now. Many people are in denial even still.

For a good idea of a possible outcome scenario, read The Handmaid's tail or see the movie.

for thirty years or more. After a while a person figures out that, unfortunately, most people actually have to be burned pretty bad before they start paying attention to the fires. Sorta like when the investigators find out the smoke alarms didn't even have batteries in them. Sad, but human, I suppose.

Btw, WELCOME to DU!

For a quick primer on Dominionism and Reconsructionism, I think it is essential to read:
http://www.publiceye.org/magazine/v08n1/chrisre1.html

<snip>

"The significance of the Reconstructionist movement is not its numbers, but the power of its ideas and their surprisingly rapid acceptance. Many on the Christian Right are unaware that they hold Reconstructionist ideas. Because as a theology it is controversial, even among evangelicals, many who are consciously influenced by it avoid the label. This furtiveness is not, however, as significant as the potency of the ideology itself. Generally, Reconstructionism seeks to replace democracy with a theocratic elite that would govern by imposing their interpretation of "Biblical Law." Reconstructionism would eliminate not only democracy but many of its manifestations, such as labor unions, civil rights laws, and public schools. Women would be generally relegated to hearth and home. Insufficiently Christian men would be denied citizenship, perhaps executed. So severe is this theocracy that it would extend capital punishment beyond such crimes as kidnapping, rape, and murder to include, among other things, blasphemy, heresy, adultery, and homosexuality."

That is what the next four years COULD bring. I don't think this should be passed off as speculative and alarmist.

Also, I urge people to separate this intolerant faction from Christianity-at-large. If anything, this is an insidious usurping of Christianity, Conservativism, and Republicanism. Rather than being angry at all of the above, you should try to be tolerant and understand that, if the movement is successful, many of them will not particularly like, condone, or even benefit, from the outcome.

If anyone wants to see what flavor and form that sneaky, morphing creature, Fascism, could really take in America, (when combined with Corporate money, power, and influence) well this is it, IMHO. It has shown its ugly face, but there is still time to resist and avert it.

I think people can see that to turn this tide there is a lot of waking up and work ahead, no matter what the outcome of the election may be.

The work will be to throw off apathy , as a start -- that is happening. Then it will be time to look into running for those local offices you have been ignoring! Combine that with supporting candidates who are not behind this growing problem, and you have a gameplan.

13. Don't hate Larry King. He is a softball thrower, but he's not a neo-con.
I don't think he's interested in propaganda either.
