23. 1) Bill Clinton 2) Howard Dean 3) Jon Stewart . Reasons:
I'm fascinated by Bill Clinton. I didn't agree a lot of his politics, and yet I found myself agreeing with some of his underlying philosophy.

I am also fascinated by Howard Dean, and would love to talk to him about many things.

Jon Stewart would just be a lot of fun. :)

Actually, I can't imagine a finer conversation, with lots to learn, PLUS.......

SOMEONE WHO WOULD ACTUALLY LISTEN!!!!

On the other hand, we won't have him around forever, so I'd really love to have some time with Robert Byrd. There's so much to learn from that fine, old gentleman!!

Kanary, who would *love* to have one of those handy, dandy pocket constitutions from the Grand Old Man himself. :)

32. Any democat will do.
I need a beer and I don't drink with Republicans.

I voted for Kerry because I feel like he's not getting props in this poll.

RE the having a beer with Bush thing: Do people realize if he has even one drink, he will probably go on a binge that lasts for days? Shouldn't it be, "I'd rather choke down an O'Doul's with Bush than drink a Busch with Kerry?"

He seemed like someone you could really just talk to. And his kids seem so cool - the type everybody wants to be friends with - no because they're cool or popular, but because they're just so damn nice.

Molly. I think she'd be a wonderful conversationalist and she probably gets very funny when she's had a couple of beers (since she's pretty darn fun to read even when both she and I are totally straight).

50. Bush Team Prepares Net Assault

wired news:

02:00 AM Sep. 30, 2004 PT

For the millions of television viewers who tune in to the first presidential debate in Miami Thursday night, the event will probably seem scripted, familiar and maybe even cordial. And for good reason. The Republican and Democratic parties worked out detailed ground rules, all but promising that the televised debates will be uneventful.

But both campaigns plan to take off their gloves on the internet. In some respects, the real debate, or a better semblance of one, will take place in cyberspace.
