Large military battle in Samarra, CNN Breaking News.
Edited on Thu Sep-30-04 04:51 PM by Kerryfan
Largest in months. How convenient. Kerry cannot badmouth the Iraq situation with this breaking.

No link but the CNN reporter, Jane ? said " oh my God " and then she had to leave.

5. Wag the dog.
Why does breaking news always seem so convenient for the Bush party?

14. maybe Rove fears Georgy Boy hasn't completed his homework.
Killing a bunch of Iraqis and some American soldiers is easier than saying that Bush's little doggie ate it!:bounce:

6. The very fact we are still fighting battles 18 months after the war began
is proof that Bush's plan has failed.

9. Exactly my thoughts.
And also the peculiar parallels between Bush's political timetable and major geopolitical events.

12. But if Kerry's campaign has taken the turn that I think and hope it has...
...then what the repugs say doesn't determine what Kerry can and cannot say any longer.

16. I agree
This is major bad news of *. I don't see why it means Kerry shouldn't mention how * has screwed up Iraq.

"And so, as we stand here, brave American men and women are fighting for their lives in Samarra. Clearly, President Bush's handling of this war is putting our troops at risk."

What's this more of MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!?!? This shows how day after day Iraq is getting worse not better. Try and spin this anyway you want Chimp but it'll come out bad, especially when more of our kids get killed for you,Cheney and Halliburton.

20.  Kerry cannot badmouth the Iraq situation?
He can't? How about pointing out the failure of these tactics in Najaf and Fallujah to end the resistance in those cities? Seems pretty obvious. Of course the press will report some level of "success" (an indiscriminate body count) when the mission is over, but by then Joe Sixpack done fergot whut Kerry said!
