Debates: which broadcast to watch?
Same question, long form: whose debate coverage is least likely to give me an anyeurism? I'm assuming C-Span, but I've only had cable for a week, so I only know the various news channels by reputation. Little help here, please? (BTW, no-one needs to tell me how bad Fox is - I've been cable-less, not living in a cave.)

2. AAR will have Jeanine, Sam and Mike Malloy on.
Try and hook up with them on radio or the Net, and TiVo or tape CBS for later. Then watch or tape Daily Show's repeat Fri. Morning 10am EST.

10. they have a pool
I think like pbs/cbs/abc/cnn/fox all put in, then from them they pick who does the cameras and the moderators. Not sure how it works exactly.

13. That's not such a big deal.
It's the edits that matter. The raw feed may be from Fox, but it's my understanding that every network and cable outlet showing it has its own producers calling the camera shots that go live and when. If I'm wrong, then yes, that's completely fuX0red.

14. I do however feal bad about the cameramen who wont get to work.
While this may not effect the broadcast, it is still a scary even. Fox is in a position where it could, if it chose to, effect the coverage for all the networks. This also puts crews from the other networks out of work in a sense. Can you imagine if this becomes a habit in the media. Each event is only filmed by one network... scary.

6. Yes, c-span will be good....
...I will channel surf before the debates start just to get any credible interviews that might be out there. Chris Matthews will be anchoring for MSNBC I think, and if Shrub messes up I have confidence that Chris will be all over the pundits about that. Also, if Kerry says anything questionable Matthews will try to get to the bottom of it rathere than jump up and down on the democrats heads.
