Is "Mama T" a freeper inspired name?
I first heard it here, and I do so adore her and think she will be the best First Lady to date, and so I use "Mama T" to refer to her. However, I just saw a link here to freeper pukepublic and one of those idiots used the name too. Is it a name of ridicule?

1. Nope-its a term of endearment she loves and it was actually she who calls
herself and told this to a gay man who told her about his story of being rejected by his own mother and family when he came out of the closet. He told her that he wishes he could have had a mother like her after being moved by a speech she gave in which she addressed issues including gay rights/equal rights.

My 4 year old calls her Mama-T....I think its great....she does too...and if Freepers want to denigrate her and that name (as they do anybody who disagrees with them) then who cares.

2. They like to denigrate her name by spelling it Ter-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-za.
As if being expected to pronounce it correctly (as she pronounces it) is simply too much to ask of them. My, ain't she a high-falutin' thing? How dare she decide to use her name as it is pronounced!

But that's just like their leader - he dehumanizes everyone by either not calling them by their name at all (as in "My Opponent" instead of "Senator Kerry"), or by giving them some nasty passive-aggressive nickname. See, when you're the emperor, the peons don't need to be acknowledged by that most personal of possessions - their name.

3. Mama T
According to her son's, she was given this name by her son's friends who always seemed to gather around the kitchen as Momma T cooked and baked for them while they discussed and joked with each other. Teresa was the stay at home Mom. They say the same childhood friends still gather and many are on the campaign trail with them.

The party of "family values," with Mama Laura and Granny Babs don't seem to come from the same order of Mamma's their off-shoots don't have the background of discussing with each other or of maintaining childhood friends.
