Jon Stewart show last night -- "Spin Ally" skit???

Did anyone else see this?? It really had an effect on me the way they did the end of it with "Ed" (I think that's the "correspondant's name) running around Spin Ally after one of the debates flipping out on all of them, calling them liars, etc.

Truly it was an AMAZING moment on television, imo. I'm sure someone could do a better critical analysis of it than I. Did anyone have the same thought about this ???

Or am i just weird??

1. It was superb
Ed Helms is nearing the top of my favorite correspondent list. After Colbert that is.

Then again I really like Samantha Bee and Rob Cordry too. There is just too much to love about the Daily Show.

2. You know what's really ironic about that skit?
I think Ed Gillespie, the RNC Chairman, was the best sport about it all. I wish he wasn't a Republican shill...I kind of like him.

3. It was hysterical...
Were those superimposed shots of the talking heads and his final breakdown, right?

4. I thought it was brilliant
I loved every bit of it -- and esp. the end where the dog (whatever his name is) cracked up Begala.

It was one super joke after another. Brilliant.

5. Is The Daily Show against the Democratic party?
After all, Helms was suggesting that the Dem spinners were lying too.

6. I think they are biased
against bullshit. Doesn't really matter where it's coming from.

8. Democratic spin is just as offensive as Republican
Let's not try and pretend our shit doesn't stink.

7. yeah....
....for those who didn't see it, Ed Helm was in Spin Alley after the last debate, and he started out by asking the typical questions of various "spinners" such as Gillespie, Joe Lockhart, etc. Each time one of them gave him the talking point, he got more agitated, finally screaming at them and then at the room in general "YOU'RE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH! YOU'RE NOT TELLING THE TRUTH!" He went running back to find Gillespie, and hollered at him "YOU LIED TO ME!!" That's when Gillespie tried to calm him down and said "Hey, I'll get you the talking points." Then Helm literally fell down on the floor by a group being spun and stayed there, face down, while the business of the room went on. A couple of people finally noticed him and bent over him, but he stayed motionless.

It was quite dramatic. I don't think a lot of people even heard him yelling, because the place is so noisy.

9. Another guy who really enjoyed it was Ron Reagan
He was on the Crossballs set and he was losing it when Helms was stumbling around in front of them. Tweety, meanwhile, didn't even crack a smile.
