Explaine to me what the deal is with the wolves in shrubs new ad?
I always thought I was pretty perceptive, but I saw this new ad with the wolves roaming through the forest, and I just do't get it. What's the message supposed to be???

2. I thought the exact same thing...
The whoring media was raving abut how focus groups thought it was so amazing and powerful...

I thought it was confusing, off-topic, and vague; I truly don't think it'll be effective.

3. Wild animals are a dangerous menace,
And John Kerry will do nothing to protect America from them.

17. So is b*sh 'little red riding hood'
and sh*tting his britches? The 'wolves' want to 'consume' our foreign policy.. isn't the figurehead of such policy *?

What's he so scared of?

What's really interesting, however, is that wolves are benevolent, highly social animals. They kill almost instantly, and do not kill for 'sport' only for survival.

9. Well, I don't feel so bad. It looks like not many others know what it
means either! I even went back to watch the "bear in the woods" ad. At least that one had a BEAR, which if I remember correctly, was the symbol of the Soviet Union, that was a real threat back then.

I'm sure there's lots of people who see this ad won't see a connection between wolves and ANYTHING!

10. most Americans don't see wolves as a threat!
More than 20 years of environmental education about wolves being part of natural ecosystems, plus the fact that relatively few people now live way out in the country with livestock to worry about, have sure changed attitudes. I think it's hilarious that so many people have been puzzled rather than scared by the ad.

Perhaps it might strike a chord with some of the "red state" ranchers who want wolves exterminated, but this isn't the 19th century any more.

13. According to Majority Report,( AAR)..they showed this thing
on Crossfire, saying that it had "tested so well that they held it to release closer to the election" Then they showed it, and the audience LAUGHED when the wolves came on. The repug was left with egg on his face. (not tucker, some sub)

16. Their strategy is to energize the base, not YOU
Their base of rural places, has the livestock protection meme
built in, as mentioned earlier. They think they can win this
election by simply getting their base out.

Remember "sheep in wolf's clothing." and all that. Kerry and the
dems are going after swing voters. The pukes believe they don't
need the swing vote, and need only turn out their brownshirts.

And the tersts will huff and they'll puff and they'll blow your ass up if you vote for John Kerry. I think that's the message. :P
