I am not very religious, but after seeing F 9/11 the other day I had to do a little "soul searching" and said a little "something" to you know who.

2. An alternative to ranting and raving

We see that the United States DOES have an alternative to the screaming, intimidation tactics of the Neo-con onslaught. Humor, wit, sarcasm, and other such smart-ass, intellectual tools are the way to get to the root of democracy. We have been battered so long with harsh, dictatorial propaganda as a nation that we barely have the capacity for self-criticism. People at this site even get into this mode sometimes, but we must remember that it is the best candidate, not the RIGHT candidate. The RIGHT candidate doesn't exist. Everyone is fallible, and everyone has skeletons in the closet. We are all human, and Michael Moore brings that back to the front.

I've found -- as have many -- that the "perfect" truly is the enemy of the "good." No, JK isn't perfect -- but he's exponentially closer to it than he-whose-name-shall-not-be-mentioned. And a little word to the resident in the WAY-upstairs apartment gets added in occasionally, too.
