Help Me Compile this List
What has voting Democratic all these years gotten for Afro-Americans?

I am compiling a list of different groups to throw down a Rethugs throat! He just made the accusation that blacks haven't ever gotten anything by voting for a Dem! Bullshit!

HELP ME THINK ON THIS ONE GUYS!

1. LIBERAL STED DEMOCRATIC REASONS
It was a liberal idea to free the slaves

It was a liberal idea to allow non whites the right to vote

It was a liberal idea to allow non whites to sit at lunch counters

It was a liberal idea to do away with whites only drinking fountains

The civil rights act was a liberal idea

One may make the argument that blacks are not as well off as they could be in America today but if it were not for liberal ideas they would be light years from where they are now. If conservatives had their unchallenged way for the past 150 years, the above list would not exist. Please share this with our fellow citizen. I am a white male who served 24 years in the Navy. I did not swear to support and defend the constitution for only certain segments of our population. Good luck.

3. Affirmative action for starters...

Student loans, workers rights, tax cuts, ummm, lets see.. The Civil Rights Act.

Heck, just about anything that helps middle and lower class Americans, start with almost the whole Democratic platform.

4. The question is, what has the current republican party done for blacks?
Can they say they've done anything since Lincoln?
