4 minutes of CNN Cheers
I don't remember them doing this for Clinton when he appeared...

I wish we could remove CNN on Tuesday along with *.

2. I second that motion.
I think the second most important thing after appointing REAL Supreme Court justices is getting rid of all the propaganda mills stomping into our living rooms nightly (euphemistically known as "News programs") and setting up permanent truth-in-airwave regulations.

6. The corrupt media is a bigger concern than the SC
The media is supposed to be the safeguard of Democracy. It is the people's watchdog, there to scare politicians straight, and to inform us when they aren't so we can practice Democracy and boot them.

We have no such national media now. They are all insignificant branches of major multinational corporations who get more money from tax breaks than from their media divisions. THus, they have turned their media divisions into advertising departments for the Republican Party.

That's a bigger threat than the SC, and the SC is easier to fix. All we have to do is win an election or two to fix SCOTUS. The media will be much harder to reclaim. And by reclaim, I don't mean by liberals, or conservatives. I mean by citizens.

Though, there is the Internet. We'll know Tuesday whether the Internet is more powerful than the corporate media.

8. yeah. sigh. I see your point.
Changing the media will be a bigger problem. And it is the well that feeds the kool-aid drinkers.

My hun and I took a day trip through the country today...lots of little tiny dirt-poor towns, not centers of education but plenty of hard core Baptist/Calvary etc. churches, and lo and behold, lawns everywhere festooned with the evil conservative political support signs, from Smirk right down to local judges and county clerks.

3. The Media Needs A Major Overhaul
A few million people should be sufficient enough to make that change. I will be looking forward to my next goal after the election of John Kerry.

5. Hey, they weren't cheering for Bush, were they?
This makes Bush look like the ugly bride with a beautiful bridesmaid.

Arnold isn't on the ticket -- let 'em cheer themselves blue in the face.
