2. Ratings.
They are going to go through the roof under a 2nd Bush term, IF that truly comes to pass.

3. I don't know...a part of me thinks that people who have
comfortable jobs and are not really subject to the effects of what happens under Bush are not nearly as distraught.

4. Sadly, they are like the rest of the media in lots of ways..
They are high profile people who make plenty of money. Their immediate lives did not change a bit yesterday.

They have pensions..they have money..they have healthcare, their kids go to good schools. they can afford to buy gas, take vacations..

They may be unhappy, but the impact on them, personally is minimal

7. No offense, but that statement sounded awfully "red state."
They're professionals, and they're doing everything they can.

9. California is NOT red.. and I am not either..
The original post wondered why they did not sound sad.. Nothing really changed for any of the on air people.. They were fine before, and they are fine now..

I cannot envision Al Franken or Randi, or Janeane living hand to mouth on social security or unemployment insurance.

Like I said, they may be disappointed that Kerry may lose, but their own lives did not change..

What is "red-state" about that?

10. It's like those people who talk about the "Hollywood Liberal Elite"
Al and Randi and Janeane have worked their asses off for the party, and if you think they're not crushed about this, perhaps you should reconsider. It's their jobs to keep the morale up, and they're doing it.

5. ..a stolen Election.

DIEBOLD. When, you absolutely, positively must fix the outcome of the election, there is no substitute.

6. Part of the problem with AAR is that some of the hosts are more
concerned about practicing their comedy act than informing voters. You know who they are.

8. I think they simply feel the responsibility to put some hope out there...
One adage of broadcast media is that you don't know how close your audience may be to the edge....So, you try not to push so far that the susceptibles lose hope or worse...
