I am really beginning to get upset about people claiming that members of the Bush Admin. are smart after they figure out a simple problem. On Morning Sedition Mark Danner was talking about how smart the Bush Admin. was for appointing Alberto Gongonlas as AG and not to the Supreme Court. This was not that smart. Yes it allows the Bush Admin. to give something to the Hispanics and not insult to more conservative Republicans; however, this is not that smart. It is a simple solution to a simple problem. I am just getting tired of hearing people jump up and down and act like people in the Bush Admin. are geniuses just because they figured out a problem. These people are not geniuses.

If you want more detail, I'd also say that from a long range standpoint, they are also stupid. But greedy people aren't usually too concerned with long range considerations.
