I wanted to talk about why Malloy and all the rest of the Democratic party activists and leadership never want to talk about economic issues and economic populism, like raising taxes on the rich, and why they rarely talk about what taxes are for, or why we have taxes, and how progressive taxation is used in other countries. Also, they sometimes call for fair trade or whatever, but they never seem to explain a rationale or give some background. The GOP has done that, even though they are wrong. At least they explain themselves.

Also, I wanted to talk about why Malloy attacks the handling of the war, but never seems to put it in perspective with the other bogus wars we fought in. THe way we were dragged into the Vietnam war is so similar to this one, it's eerie. If you could get on the radio and explain and compare Iraq to Vietnam, and tell about how LBJ and the military lied to get us into that war, Malloy could really do some damage, but Malloy and the other AAR hosts and the democratic party at large never seems to want to get into the long term stuff, the historical perspective, the stuff that could really change minds, if it were ever really given a decent airing.

No, as usual with the Democratic party, there is no rationale for a compelling economic message, no historical perspective on media manipulation with respect to war, etc. All we get is another Hate Hour, chanting, spittle, etc. Petty little horserace campaign issues, who did what, who said what, more political gossip. Just like we see on TV.

At least the GOP has an underlying rationale and some historical perspective, at least to some degree, mendacious and two faced as it is...
