Bush* opposes "Buy American" rules for Pentagon
A "Buy America" amendment was passed by the House of Representatives in May as part of a defense authorization bill, requiring 65 percent of components in items bought by the Pentagon be made in the US, compared to 50 percent under current law. It would also require some components such as machine tools to be 100 percent US-made.

But the administration of President George W. Bush and many industry leaders warn that such a measure may lead to higher prices, retaliation from US trading partners and an inability to obtain some components

1. Hey DNC ... THIS IS AN ISSUE! USE IT! IT'S A WINNER!
If you know someone at the DNC, please tell them get on this story. Bush is not only undermining working men and women by not requiring that our tax dollars be used to procure goods and services from American businesses, but he is also undermining our national security by making us dependent on other nations for security-related items.

Tom Daschle, Nancy Pelosi, Terry McAuliffe, and the 9 Presidential candidates had better use this issue. It's a winner. It will split the GOP.

3. Hey DLC--here's something you will like to defend!
That's right---the crazy left fringe Democrats are concerned about American jobs! Please, immediately issue a statement telling America taht this is BAD for Business and that the DUers (like me) that find this appalling are "out of touch"

C'mon, its a chance to make your corporate masters happy and show you are just as Republican and the Republicans!
