That Michael Crichton article about fear

I got this call from my dad, who happens to be a freeper wingnut from hell, telling me to read that Michael Crichton article. I preface this by saying that I choose not to get into political arguments with him, because he has no tolerance for opinions that are contrary to his, and it is not worth the energy.

I told him I had already read it. But it took everything in my being to tell him that most of the recent fear that has been propagated, was by HIS preznit.

3. I agree: Let's quit scaring ourselves to death

Remember how integration was going to lead to your daughter (yes, YOUR daughter) marrying "one of them" and what that would mean? And how maintaining insufficient vigilance against the Commie menace would mean our kids would be brainwashed by foreign infiltrators and the masters of deceit? Fluoridation of drinking water was clearly another plot to "get to" our precious bodily fluids and corrupt our people? And don't get me started on what it could mean for our society should widespread acceptance of gays and their "lifestyle" ever occur!

Crichton is delusional, and Parade magazine should be ashamed for giving him such a visible forum.
