we had close to 10000 in the streets in PDX. Pretty peaceful till the end when some took over a gas station and padlocked themselves to the pumps

seattle sounds like they had 6000

Protests went on in most cities

Ashland
Eugene
Olympia
Bellingham

Twisp
On Thursday, January 20, soon after George Bush was inaugurated in Washington D.C. citizens of the town of Twisp in North Central Washington gathered to mourn the dead U.S. solders and Iraqais by erecting a ceremonial grave yard in the town commons.

1. Thanks, Drummer.
I read about the Portland protests -- any photos or news coverage. It's just 8 PM here.

We were supposed to go to a movie preview of "Million Dollar Baby" at Pioneer Place, but decided to see it another time. I was there with you in spirit, 'though. Appreciate your post.

In peace,

Radio_Lady

My husband and I joined a small (50-75) but enthusiastic bunch of Alaskans protesting the coronation tonight on one of Anchorage's busiest intersections between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. We got a few curses and middle fingers from the commuters, but many more honks and waves. All in all, it felt like a successful gathering, and if I can figure out how to do it, I'll post some photos.

For you Alaskans, Channel 2 News (NBC) was there and will be broadcasting a report on the nightly news at 10:00.
