MWO: A Clark/Kerry or Kerry/Clark ticket would be Unbeatable...
"A Clark/Kerry or Kerry/Clark ticket would be stellar. It would dwarf the unelected toy president and his snarling sidekick in gravitas, credibility, competence, character and experience - and would be unbeatable."

1. Maybe, if a candidate's military service is all voters' care about.
But I don't think that's all voters care about, or Bush I or Dole would have whupped Clinton's ass.

5. So Bush/Cheney will do better on the economy?
The people want a change in economic direction and the only thing Bush can offer is "Terra" and faux flight-suits.

Kerry and Clark neutralize the military factor and we win.

6. I'm just skeptical that they would be "unbeatable."
But I would vote for either ticket.

8. Yes, "unbeatable" is pretty strong...
I agree. Rove will come up with a strategy. Better be a Damn good one.

3. I think they would have to resolve their war stance
Since Clark was against and Kerry was for, they would need to explain this.

Just my thoughts.

7. These hurdles are always there for teams...
Bush I was "pro-choice" until he smelled a way to get his foot in the Executive Branch.

9. Kerry tarnishes Clark.
Kerry's poor campaign, problems with flip-flops, and stance for the war would tarnish Clark. He needs someone more powerfull that isn't ass used up as Kerry. Also Kerry doesn't help the Electoral College situation and I believe the Gov. of Mass is a repub. We can't have Kerry being replaced with another one.

10. Clark more useful to Dean...
He fills out the Dean's political resume better. Kerry doesn't need him.

For the best shot against Bush, Kerry would need someone more down home - to counter his often overly-erudite style. Edwards might be a good choice. Although there are certainly others who aren't running who could fit the bill...

12. That's nice....but Clark WILL NOT be Kerry's VP
Edited on Tue Sep-09-03 11:52 AM by Magic Rat
If anything, I predict MAX CLELAND will be Kerry's VP pick, should Kerry get the nomination.

I do, however think that if Dean should get the nod, then Clark WILL be his vice president.

Kerry will not be a VP himself, nor would Dean, but I'm starting to feel more and more like Dean could be a VP candidate to someone like Edwards, should he catch fire, or Gephardt should he hold steady and increase support. Or even Clark, if the roles were to reverse and the former general steps in and gets a huge wave of support that trips up Dean.

A Clark-Dean ticket would be formidable.

14. I've been wondering about Max
I think he would make a great VP. Do you think he would accept the VP spot from anyone other then Kerry?

13. Though I prefer Clark/Edwards
I think Clark/Kerry would also beat Smirk and his invisible sidekick like a rented mule. Also Clark/Graham. Or try this one on for size...

Clark/Cleland
