Fargo update: "Not on the list? Bummer." Good op ed.

SNIP..."Oddly, it included a popular Fargo city commissioner who doesn't really seem like a rabble rouser, although come to think of it, she's got terrific vocal cords and in some situations, singing can be pretty darned disconcerting."

"It's harder to understand why a well-known glass artist was on the list. Why, even if he weren't highly regarded and respected in the community, what are the chances he might sneak his torch past security?

The university librarian wasn't such a surprise since just about everybody has heard of an "interim director of instructional resources" who's blown up a building. (Oh, OK, maybe not.)

Incredibly silly in one way; in another way, the list was chilling.

How could it be that the president's advance team came up with a list of respectable, law-abiding citizens to be barred from the president's speech, citizens who had done nothing more subversive than support Howard Dean (F-M Democracy for America Meetup Group) or disagree with this administration's policies by writing letters to the newspaper? As a friend of mine opined, "If only the Bushees could have controlled Iraq after the initial war the way they control the crowds at his speeches."

SNIP..."Yessiree folks, that list formed itself out of thin air. Why, it's a miracle. A few hours later, the list was blamed on an "overzealous volunteer" which - when one thinks about it - was a good choice. Blaming some local-yokel sure beats suggesting it was the best the Secret Service could do. More than embarrassing, that would be frightening....."

Oh, I forgot. Not a single one of our Democrats spoke up about it, and a google search on news shows nothing but this paper.

3. bush can withstand confrontation like the Wicked Witch withstood water
He would melt into a disgusting puddle of protoplasm, the steam of his hot bullsh*t rising into the air, and vaporizing at last.

Ding-dong, the ding-dong's gone, which ding-dong, the dumb ding-dong.

I want to tap my heels together three times and say, there's no place like truth ...

4. He needs to break free of that freaking bubble and REALIZE
that people do NOT support his goddamn policies, especially on Social Security. Is it any wonder many folks see him as arrogant? Why shouldn't he seem arrogant? He's never experienced opposition! It's been kept from him on a daily basis. He doesn't even read the goddamn newspaper, for Chrissake!
